CAT Application Approved

On the 30th August 2019, The Lighthouse submitted a Community Asset Transfer (CAT) application under the Community Empowerment Act (2015) to request the transfer of ownership of the former Library and Family Centre in Tillydrone, Aberdeen. Almost 14 months later, with much hard work and an 8 month delay due to COVID-19, the application was approved by the City Growth and Resources committee of Aberdeen City Council. This huge milestone would not have been possible without the support of many individuals who provided their own time, others who provided professional advice, and also the Development Trusts Association Scotland (DTAS) who provided invaluable advice and support throughout the process.
